Dua lipa is an English musician and singer born August 22, 1995, in London United Kingdom. In 2014, after working as a model and actress she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. This album reached number 3 in the U.K. Charts and released 8 singles. These included Be The One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. number one single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 track New Rules. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act, and her album has been certified as platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua Lipa was born London on 22 August 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is the reason she is of Bosnian origin. Additionally, you can find her family's roots in the Kosovo town of Peja. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. She is the sister of Rina Lipa and a younger brother named Gjin. Lipa's father, the guitar player and singer in the Kosovan band Oda, influenced her musically. Her father played music at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa was only five when she first began to sing.
